The Glorious Republic of Vostradka Annual Survey
The Department of Absolute Happiness welcomes you to The Glorious Republic of Vostradka Annual Survey ! Your feedback is mandatory and crucial for our collective joy.
This is my first Twine game although I came across Twine in 2020. So many good Twine games. I'm a sucker for old text adventure/rpg games.
This survey was inspired by a few things, 1984 by George Orwell, recently played the game "Papers, Please" and the format and survey concept from the "Please Answer Carefully" Twine game, which is a really fun little horror game by litrouke.
*The game has 4 different endings*
Music in the game is from: From Russia With Love by Huma-Huma
<-------Spoiler Section------>
In case anyone needs help with the game and the different endings:
Spoiler warning
There are 4 endings:
- Ending 1: Pick all the "very satisfied choices", this is the best loyalty ending.
- Ending 2: Pick various choices between answers A and B, this is a re-education ending.
- Ending 3: In typical totalitarian fashion, anyone not satisfied will be declared a rebel, so even picking choice (C) just once gives you the resistance ending.
- Ending 4: And again being a totalitarian government, you have no rights, so choice "D" isn't really a choice you can make, which leads to punishment.

Bit confused because I actually did sing the anthem IRL (well, some of it) and it dinged me for silence, but I'm guessing I missed something.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone else...I will add a spoiler text to help resolve this issue for future players
came here from ‘please answer carefully’! ur goated bro
ha thank you!
Very Orwellian game. Very fun. The music was a great touch and the detail of mentioning total surveillance in both the beginning and the ending set the mood really well. I also love how you designed an entire flag AND wrote an anthem. Keep up the good work! :)
thank you! I appreciate it! Yeah I had the basic idea down and once it was all finished I felt like it needed something a bit more and felt like the anthem was a nice touch to the overall theme I was going for!
I went in thinking this game would take me a day and it ended up taking me about few hours here and there over about 5 days. But I think working on the game a bit longer let me redo various ideas and really make it better overall. I kept running into various code issues...I would fix something and fixing one issue made another new issue pop up but eventually got it all figured out!
